I am writing to express our wholehearted support for the "Healing Lahaina with Living Communities" initiative. 

Our organization is fully committed to the notion that resilient, healthy, and truly affordable housing should be available for everyone. This initiative's goal of creating the first Living Building Challenge-certified affordable housing prototype in Maui, tailored to accommodate residents of Lahaina displaced by the recent fires, deeply resonates with our values. Involving the local community in the design process and offering training opportunities to enhance local workforce skills in regenerative design strengthens community bonds and paves the way for future sustainable housing projects on the island. 

The "Healing Lahaina with Living Communities" initiative represents more than just the construction of houses; it embodies a revolutionary approach to sustainable living. By showcasing that sustainability and affordability can coexist, the project sets a powerful example for our community and beyond. Completing this prototype home would mean a significant step towards regenerative practices that benefit our community and the environment. Each home built to the Living Building Challenge standard contributes to the revitalization of Lahaina, embodying resilience, and instilling hope for future generations.
